Laughing Horse Training

This registered ASHA mare had raised two lovely foals, and other than being halter broken, was not started in training until she was five.  Though a sensitive mare, who initially over-reacted to sudden stimuli, with ten months of consistent training, she has become a confident, calm and responsive mount.  Exquisitely light to the aids and a joy to ride in the arena, she is also steady and assured over obstacles and activity on the trails.

This performance bred reqistered AQHA mare had ten months of cutting horse training in her 3 year old form.  Then owner circumstances resulted in turning her out to pasture for the next four years.  A well-planned 90 day training program brought out the best in her, and she traveled back to Colorado for a week long John Lyons clinic.

This handsome Trakehner-cross gelding was started as a five year old and is pictured here during his first thirty days of training under saddle.  He likes to learn, and quickly understands the consistent rewards based training methods, revealing a real talent and propensity for a career in Hunter/Jumper, 3-Day or Dressage.

Conditioned response, reward based training has quickly acclimated this young gelding to lots of activity.  He's performing here at about twenty rides.  His marvelous personality, intelligence and love of learning mean a great future for him as an all around horse, or ideal prospect for parade or mounted patrol work.
